Hello everyone, my name is Samantha. I am a California native who joined the Peace Corps in 2013 and started this blog as a way to document my PC journey, but along the way morphed it into a way to share all my travel experiences and gastronomic adventures.

I hope my detailed account of my Peace Corps service in Kenya gives future volunteers a glimpse into life as a volunteer and provides helpful information for what to expect when preparing to serve.
