Retire in Charente

“We are the Montgomery family, and this is our story of how we moved from Essex in England to Charente in France to start a new chapter in our lives.
The family is made up of parents, Richard and Avrina, and daughter Ellie. The move to Charente, France happened in July 2016. We are early retirees and have a 10-year-old daughter. Our start date for this story is November 2015, but the story begins before then.

Ellie will occasionally write a guest post, so that her thoughts and feelings can be seen. Avrina doesn’t like to write.”
