CYA Was the best year of my life
August 21, 2025by: Nicholas Barnes - United StatesProgram: Study Abroad in Greece with CYA (Semester/Academic Year)College Year in Athens was the best experience of my academic career. The Faculty and Staff are all incredibly helpful and hold their academic qualifications from the most prestigious universities in the world. I am currently in a top 100 masters program in the world for my focus all thanks to the work that CYA did to help me excel as a student.

BEST SEMESTER OF MY COLLEGE EXPERIENCE!!!
August 19, 2025by: Sophia Stewart - United StatesProgram: Study Abroad in Greece with CYA (Semester/Academic Year)I spent the spring 2025 semester with CYA, and it was by far my favorite semester of college. Even though my other semesters in college have been incredible, my semester in Athens was the quintessential college study abroad experience! I would do it all over again in a second. My major piece of advice is to remember to pack for colder and rainy weather if you are joining for the spring semester. I was so sad to leave Athens, even on the last day of the program, and would highly recommend this program if you are looking for THE study abroad experience.
Hi Sophia, thank you for sharing your experience with CYA! We are so happy to hear that your time in Greece was a highlight of your college experience. We hope you can visit us again soon!
I had such an amazing experience!
July 29, 2025by: Kylenn Drake - United StatesProgram: Study Abroad in Greece with CYA (Semester/Academic Year)Spending a semester in Greece as a part of College Year in Athens was an experience that I will never forget. I was able to participate in field studies organized by CYA, work at an internship in Greece focused on global health, and meet so many people from different American colleges and from Greece. The CYA administration was also so supportive and useful throughout the entire semester! I miss it so much!
Hi Kylenn, thanks for sharing your experience with CYA! We love hearing you developed friendships and took engaging courses, all while traveling around Greece. We hope you can visit again soon!

I chose to study abroad because I wanted to experience my studies in a drastically different setting from the small liberal arts school near my home that I had attended for three years. I felt this experience would allow for some perspective and growth.

I knew going into school I wanted to take advantage of study abroad. I hadn't previously traveled outside the United States, and the idea of finding a home in a foreign country was exciting. I decided on Greece because of the beautiful landscape, rich history, and theatre roots.

What inspired me to go abroad was the amazing stories I heard from my fellow Wellesley sibs. They'd always come back with countless stories about all the cool and fun things they experienced and the things they were able to see. I've always loved traveling, so hearing these stories made me more anxious and excited to go abroad. It is the best decision I have ever made.
