Broaden your academic knowledge in a new environment in this study abroad opportunity! As part of an American university system, our curriculum is in English. We also follow the American academic calendar system and schedule. Study abroad students enroll at ACN for a semester or an entire year, while some start their undergraduate education with us. a memory for life
April 23, 2025by: tina Steinsland - NorwayProgram: Study Abroad at the American College of NorwayI chose to start at ACN because I’ve always dreamed of studying in the U.S. Colleges in the U.S. require general education courses, and ACN provides the perfect opportunity to complete those requirements while preparing for a smooth transfer. ACN is also a great place for students who are still figuring out their path. The student counselor is always available to offer guidance and support, no matter what questions you may have. Another highlight worth mentioning is the unique 1-credit course that includes a trip to Svalbard, the northernmost inhabited place on Earth which offers a once-in-a-lifetime learning experience.
ACN 2024-2025
April 23, 2025by: Annelise Moe - United StatesProgram: Study Abroad at the American College of NorwayI studied abroad at ACN for one academic year and overall had a great experience. The staff was always trying their best to help me from getting a visa to moving in to figuring out my next steps after ACN. Since it is a small college, I got to know everyone really fast which helped me feel connected even when living abroad. It's easy to get to Oslo and the airport from Moss which made traveling very easy. Studying abroad helped me grow as a person and helped me make so many connections.
Best way to see Europe!
April 23, 2025by: Agustin Zettel - United StatesProgram: Study Abroad at the American College of NorwayStudying abroad is, in my opinion, the best way to see Europe, and the American College of Norway is the best way I found to accomplish that. Three day weekends and two big breaks make visiting anywhere very easy, and being a student means getting a visa and housing is much easier than it would otherwise be. The classes are fun, engaging, and taught in English, so no worries on that front. I went through a partner program with the University of North Dakota, and I cannot recommend that enough! All my credits transferred directly and I was able to apply my North Dakota financial aid, which really helped.
