From your first flight to your Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate, Sling Pilot Academy provides the training, support, and resources to help you reach the airlines with confidence. Our modern glass-cockpit aircraft are advanced and fun to fly. With up to 300 sunny days a year in Southern California, students can progress quickly toward their Commercial Pilot Certificate—or start with a Private Pilot License. Our San Diego-area campus (El Cajon) is authorized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to enroll international students. We provide all necessary paperwork and guidance for non-U.S. citizens to apply for the M-1 student visa. The admissions process is simple and fast, with new classes starting every month. My instructor’s unwavering guidance and encouragement have been invaluable, blending technical rigour with genuine patience to build both my skills and confidence. Furthermore, flying a Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA) such as the Sling, has provided invaluable hands-on experience with modern avionics and systems, preparing me thoroughly for the future of aviation. Though I’m halfway across the world, the friendships and experiences I’ve gained here have made me feel genuinely welcomed and right at home.
