The International Human Rights Clinic (IHRC) provides a unique opportunity for law students to gain first-hand experience working on international human rights litigation, advocacy, and policy projects. It combines classroom education with supervised case and project management, providing students with practical training in essential lawyering skills while serving our community and promoting social justice. The Clinic’s projects cover a wide range of cutting-edge legal issues: Business & Human Rights Discrimination & Statelessness Mass Deportations LGBT Rights Human Rights & the Environment Human Rights in the US Women’s Rights Our law students get hands-on experience fighting for human rights around the world while gaining valuable hands-on legal experience.
Program Highlights
Participate in a weekly two-hour seminar and obtain in-depth knowledge of relevant substantive and procedural aspects of international human rights law.
Engage in various exercises aimed at practicing your legal skills, which are necessary to become an effective advocate.
Choose between Spring and Fall semesters or enroll in both.
Prepare for practice in a highly challenging field like law.
Develop relevant competencies such as writing, research, legal analysis, and creative problem-solving.
