I had a great experience with my remote Social Work & NGO Support (hosted out of Tanzania) as I was able to learn a lot about the type of work the host organization does as a human rights organization, from the big picture, to how they complete smaller tasks. I appreciated the most how I was able to gain cultural knowledge and exposure, as I saw how they viewed and dealt with various issues differently from a different international perspective, which was really interesting to me. I definitely have gained skills in communication, as well as working with people from different backgrounds, so thank you for the opportunity!

I enjoyed learning more about finance and how it works in practice. Solving real problems taught me to think critically and look for effective solutions. I also improved my knowledge of technology and how it connects with finance tasks. Most importantly, I gained real experience that helped me grow both personally and professionally. My remote internship with Intern Abroad HQ was an incredibly rewarding and eye-opening experience! From the very first week, my coordinator and the local team made me feel supported, valued, and part of something meaningful. The projects I worked on weren’t just “busy work” — they were real, impactful contributions to ongoing initiatives that directly benefit the community. One of the highlights was collaborating on creative media and reporting projects that showcased the organization’s work. Even though we were on opposite sides of the world, the team maintained clear, consistent communication through weekly Zoom calls and regular updates. I always felt comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and taking ownership of my tasks. This experience challenged me to think critically, adapt to new ways of working, and build skills I know will be valuable in my future career — especially in communications, cross-cultural teamwork, and nonprofit support. It was inspiring to see the dedication and passion the local team has, and I left with not only professional growth but also a deeper appreciation for meaningful change. I would 100% recommend this program to anyone looking for a meaningful, flexible, and enriching remote internship. I am 17 years old and this was my very first internship, and I couldn't be more grateful for this experience. I truly recommend to all ages and typed of people - as it is an opportunity to gain real-world experience while contributing to a cause that truly matters.
